Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 at Stavanger) is an Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 and received great reviews from music blogs as well as the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two notable covers that the artist has done. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. The endorsement earned her some attention. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music more as a hobby than a profession. The Aksnes family encouraged her to compose. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favourite songwriters. Her mother had told her that her songs could not only help her achieve fame however, they could also help others understand their importance to the world and appreciate how they can benefit from them, she decided to begin performing publicly. When she began playing the piano, she was just six and began writing music by the time she was nine. It was unknown to her family members until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. The only thing she loves is writing songs. Music to her is the best way to feel anything.
