Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known character is Skyler White on her role on the AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 in the category of Outstanding supporting actress in a Drama Series. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant in Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio and she continued her interest in the stage. She was a theatre student at Northwestern University and spent a year studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint working in Chicago theater before transitioning to film and TV roles. Anna got her big break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. At the beginning of 1990, Anna was a frequent guest on TV and in films including Seinfeld or NYPD Blue. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was picked as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully was also one of her roles. Gunn also took to the stage starring in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and their eventual break up echoes end of Walter White's personal life.
